Reasons people don't paint there house black

Black has always portray a beautiful colour.An example can be seen in black women who possess distinct strength and boundless beauty.

Surprisingly,the number of black houses in the western world are more than the number in black Nations.

Even though black is beautiful,it is not normally recognised in most occasions like; using a black paint to decorate a house.

However people don't normally apply a black paint on the wall due to the following:

(1)Black makes house warmer.It absorbs all light in the colour spectrum.Using a black colour on a house will make it possible for more of the radiant energy of the light to be absorbed to keep the room warmer.Also,the Light Reflection Value(LRV) of black reflects 5% of the light whereas the white colour reflects 80%.So unless one live near colder regions,opting for black walls is a bad idea.

(2)Black paint doesn't last long.The paint on a black house will blister,fade and peel far faster than other colours,this is because black paint heats up and cools down as it absorbs more ray's from the sun.So if you paint once,it won't last long,and one will have to keep painting and re-painting over and over.

(3)It will be difficult to sell a house painted with black colour.The buyer of the house might not want to bear extra cost to re-paint it.The black paint will now be a disadvantage in the long run if one ever decide to sell his house.
