LIFE OF A ROOMMATE

Have you ever have a roommate who is friends with everyone in the country? While you have 1 friend who visits once in 2 months, this person will have 50. Their friends come in at any time. when you are trying to sleep, someone is knocking and interrupting that sleep. If they are knocking and interrupting that sleep, they are not knocking, they are home already laughing, cooking. They are every where you turn. Its never easy to handle all of these. Of course you are not happy, you will get tired of pretending and smiling with them, one day you will just bone your face but the but the insensitive roommate go say nah beef and next thing report to his or her friends forgetting you need space and its also your house.

Where it gets interesting. These friends of your roommate will eat the food you both contributed for. Eat the provision you both hustled for, use everything in the house and before you know it everything is finished and you are expected to contribute again for restock. Food stuff that will last for three months will now be one month. you are feeding yourself, your roommates and your roommate’s friends.

Another category of roommates are those that can sing especially the one in choir, you can never have a quiet time in your space because of singing. Every single seconds as long as they are home. They are singing. Making it look like you aren’t christain enough.

Pray never to have a roommate who never contribute to paying light bills or buying fuel in the house or paying for the burnt socket or pay for a plumber to fix the tap or pay an electrician to fix the electric iron that got burnt. They are people like this they might be so mean to leave the house and come back after a month later knowing you must have fixed all that needs fixing.

 

It is difficult finding a good roommate. Or should I say finding a responsible, decent, sensitive, considerate and clean adult. For every house that there is a flat mate or roommate pray you find a decent roommate.

 

Have you ever meet a category of roommate who leave their plates on the bed after eaten very, very, annoying eating on the bed is not the issue but leaving the plate on the bed can spills crumbs that can attract ants and cockroaches.

Some roommate who never washes the toilet and bathroom but messes it up

Some will wake up at the middle of the night staggering to the toilet and come back to sleep with even washed hands only for you to wake up in the morning and see a load of big, heavy bomb inside the WC saying “hello how was your night” if you try to yell at the person you will hear words like why can’t you just flush it at once you wont die.

I know of a roommate who after cooking will leave beans water under the bed
